Giveaway! The Three Weissmanns of Westport by Cathleen Schine

Picador (whose excellent book club you can follow on Facebook - check it out at http://www.facebook.com/PicadorBookClub) was so kind as to not only provide me with a freebie copy of The Three Weissmanns of Westport (read my review here), a Sense and Sensibility modernization by Cathleen Schine, but also to allow me the opportunity to giveaway one copy of the book! Unfortunately, I must limit participation to U.S. residents. If you would like to be the lucky winner, just leave a comment, including your email address, by Wednesday, February 16th. If you would like a second chance to win, please state in your comment what you would like to see in a Sense and Sensibility modernization. And don't forget to check out The Sense and Sensibility Bicentenary Challenge 2011, hosted by Austenprose, to celebrate 200 blissful years of Austen in print. Good luck!

  1. I would love to win a copy of The Three Weissmanns of Westport! I'm also in the Sense and Sensibility Bicentenary Challenge 2011 and I'd like to read this book as part of my challenge.

In a Sense and Sensibility modernization, I would love to see the characters maintain their basic premise (Elinor character not showing emotion and trying to help her family while Marianne is all about love and poetry). I would also love to see more Willoughby as he is my favorite Austen bad boy!

    Thank-you for the great giveaway!

  2. You're welcome, Laura! I think this book does, in many ways, fulfill your expectations. Willoughby is certainly one of Austen's more irresistible rogues. Thanks for entering and good luck!

  3. Too bad I don't fit the bill as I'm living outside US. Nevertheless, all the best to participants.

P/s: I'm currently reading the hardcover novel and so far I love what I'm reading.

  4. Hi Luthien84. I wish I could have opened it internationally, but that was the publisher's call. I'm glad you are enjoying it!
